I received a free product for the purpose of my review. Opinions are 100% my own.
As a child my Grandpa and my Dad always had Classic ChapStick nearby. It was a small black tube with white writing and I admit, when I was about two or three years old, I distinctly remember taking a bite out of it to see what it tasted like.
What I remember most about the lip balm was it was very waxy in order to lock in the moisture. As a matter of fact, it was my family's 'go to' for chapped cheeks in winter. We grew up where it's winter seven months out of the year, and playing outside in below zero weather was the norm. Chapstick on our cheeks before playing, sledding or the dreaded 'shoveling snow' from the drive and sidewalks was a normal part of getting ready to go outside.
When I was given the chance to review a new ChapStick product, I had memories of a very stiff, waxy lip product in my head. Let me tell you... the new ChapStick dual-ended Hydration Lock Moisturize & Renew is not your Momma's ChapStick!
It's soft. And moist. And it goes on smoothly. It's also very light and comfortable to wear.
There are two tips, differentiated by color caps. The Moisturize side includes antioxidant CoQ10 and Hyaluronic Spheres. Specially designed for long-lasting hydration to help give lips a fuller and smoother appearance. The Renew side is made from natural butters such as Shea and Mango, and softens, conditions and revitalizes lips. (See the label here)
I am always nothing but honest in my product reviews and I love this product. Although I've only had it about two weeks, it's already made a trip to the gulf coast with me and enjoyed the ocean as well as a trip to my daughter's college, and a few shopping trips. It's ALWAYS in my purse and I loved it so much I shared it with my two daughters (one of which asked if she could have it. No. Get your own.)
Once everyone knew I had it with me, it was called for often (yes, I'll share with family - although I admit I wouldn't be comfortable sharing it with someone outside of our genetic gene pool). There wasn't one negative comment about it; only positive in how it felt, smelled, went on and how well it moisturized. My husband was even content to borrow it as it didn't have a strong fruity or flowery smell or taste. Just pure, clean moisture and hydration with a tiny hint of vanilla.
I could not find one 'con' about this product and am more than happy to recommend it.
