Review Time! This time is CoverGirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation and Longwear Lipstick

If you follow me on Twitter, you already know I had a chance to test Covergirl's Outlast foundation and lipstick this week in my Influenster Vox Box in return for my honest opinion.

This month's box is geared towards summer weddings; guest, bridesmaid or bride, the goodies were included to help you #GlowTheDistance through the big day.  I have my daughter's wedding reception coming up and decided giving Covergirl a 'test drive' was a must before the big day.

Product Descriptions:

CoverGirl's Outlast Stay Luminous Foundations oil-free, non-greasy formula gives your skin a natural luminosity that lasts all day! Perfect for achieving radiant skin, this all day foundation hydrates skin while providing flawless coverage.

No need to choose between moisture or color that lasts as long as you do - now you can have both! CoverGirls Outlast Longwear + Moisture Lipstick doesn't flake or crumble. It's super-powered with moisture, so it stays super fresh and super flexible all day.

I have to say I didn't really notice anything different or better about the foundation.  I am a long-time CoverGirl wearing girl myself anyway (I've been wearing CoverGirl products for 30 years!) - but never this particular formula.  It seemed to go on, look and last about as long as any foundation.  Granted, I was running errands for a couple hours and shopping for groceries in 95 degree heat!  It is a nice foundation and I am enjoying it, but nothing stand out about it in my opinion.

The lipstick.  I am not a lipstick girl.  I'm a backpacking, hiking, barefoot, hair in a braid kind of girl who uses a moisturizer or a nude gloss but I think lipstick looks harsh on me.  My husband and youngest daughter commented on pretty I looked getting ready to run errands that day... I think it's because they aren't used to seeing me in lipstick!

Was it long lasting?  Yes, I'd say so.  It lasted pretty well for about the first 5-7 hours even through the 95 degree heat, drinking from a can and eating a bite for lunch.  The color stayed on - but it was not moisturizing.  As a matter of fact, my lips felt really dry and I had to apply a gloss and a moisturizer a couple times because they were being dried out by the lipstick.  But for long lasting color?  Absolutely!  Just perk up the color with a bit of gloss and you are ready to go for another hour or two!
