Simple Sugar Cookies
1 c powdered sugar
1 c granulated sugar
1 c real butter, softened
1 c vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
4 c all-purpose flour
1 t cream of tartar
1/2 t salt
1 t baking soda
Cream sugars with butter, vegetable oil, and eggs. Add vanilla. Blend dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture; mix well. Chill dough for 2 hours. Scoop dough into walnut sized balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Use a glass dipped in sugar to flatten each cookie. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 8-10 minutes until the edges are slightly golden.
