Bacon Cheeseburger Roll Ups

Even though I'm not a football fan myself, I happen to be a married to one and have given birth to at least one more. That one, my 17 year old daughter has a t-shirt that says; "Real women love football! The rest of you stay in the kitchen!" Well, that would be me. Happily! On big game days and Superbowl I'm more than happy to supply food while they watch football. This is a recipe that has made it's round for years and years in probably 75% of the church and school cookbooks as well as the internet boards. I haven't made it as I don't use ground beef much, and never have store bought pizza dough on hand, but this year I am adding it to the list of Super Bowl foods and will no doubt please my meat-loving husband and oldest daughter. With ground beef, onions and Velveeta you can't go wrong!

Bacon Cheeseburger Roll-Up

1 lb. lean ground beef
4 slices bacon, diced
1 small onion, chopped
½ lb.(8 oz.) Velveeta Cheese, cut into ½ inch cubes
1 pkg. (13.8 oz.) refrigerated pizza crust

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brown the ground beef, bacon and onion until cooked through. Drain. Add Velveeta and stir over low heat until the cheese is melted. Let the mixture cool while you unroll the pizza dough onto a baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Pat into 15x8 rectangle. Top with the meat mixture and roll up starting with the long sides. Place seam side down and bake 25 minutes until golden brown. Let cool at least 10 minutes to set. Slice diagonally into 10-12 slices.
