Creamy Garlic Sauce (for dipping bread sticks)

Every Saturday night in our household is pizza night. I always make at least one pepperoni pizza (my recipes are in the links to the right) and the other one or two pizzas vary with interest, cravings and requests. Often it's a Taco Pizza or a Greek Spinach and Feta Pizza... sometimes Chicken Ranch or even more often they want one made into cheesy bread sticks with a garlic dipping sauce.

Sometimes the cheesy garlic bread sticks are served plain, other times a simple garlic butter is served. Here is yet a third choice; A Creamy Garlic Sauce for dipping OR if you want to use this as a base on the pizza instead of a red sauce it's wonderful too if you top it with diced or shredded chicken and a mixture of mozzarella and provolone cheese.

Creamy Garlic Sauce for dipping Breadsticks

2 T butter
1 T minced garlic
1 T all-purpose flour
3/4 c half & half
1/3 c grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 c parsley

Saute garlic in butter over medium heat for 1 minute, until tender. Quickly stir in flour, whisk until smooth. Gradually add half and half. Stir in parmesan and parsley. Heat until thickened and smooth.
