Yesterday's snack - Banana Pudding using Freeze Dried Bananas


Quick post as I have about 30 seconds free to post.   Snack time yesterday was... banana pudding!

Freeze dried bananas into some pudding cups from the pantry. 

 I don't love these freeze dried banana slices plain as a snack like I thought I would. 

They have a great crunch, but the flavor is very bland.  Almost like every banana used was unripe, or maybe it's just the flavor of freeze dried bananas?  But once rehydrated the flavor is a little more pronounced but then they are like slimy, banana slices you don't want to eat plain.  So, these work well in things like banana pudding.  No one in our family likes to eat them just for snacking like we do most freeze dried fruits.
